One to four people
The whole of your IT, handled, without a seat minimum.
Most managed IT starts at five people, so a firm of two gets told it is not the customer. Solo Care is the same list of work, priced per person, for a firm of one to four.
- Not a cut-down product. The same list as our Essentials plan, which is why it is priced per person rather than discounted.
- A person who knows your setup. Not a queue, and not somebody reading your history for the first time each call.
- East Windsor, New Jersey. Twenty-five years in IT, and on site across Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Somerset when something needs hands.
Five and up people? The managed plans are on the managed IT page, and the full Solo Care detail is on the Solo Care page.
What it covers, and what it does not
Both columns, because the second one is what stops a conversation going wrong in month two.
Included
- The help desk, for whoever in the office needs it
- Patching and monitoring on every machine
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration
- Multi-factor authentication enforced, not just available
- Endpoint protection
- Two devices per person
- A quarterly check-in, and a tracked request with a reply the same business day
Not included, said plainly
- Support is timed. About an hour of hands-on work a month, then $125 an hour, agreed before we do it. On a managed plan the same support is not timed.
- Backup is the $10 add-on. It is included on the managed plans.
- Email security, phishing simulation and email authentication monitoring are a separate security layer rather than part of Solo Care. What it costs is worked out on the onboarding call, when we can see whether it fits the firm.
- Hardware, software and the licences themselves, and projects: a migration, an office move, a rebuild. Quoted flat before the work starts.
Before you ask
We are only two people. Is this really for us?
Yes, and that is the whole reason it exists. The managed plans start at five because that is where the hours work out; a firm of one to four was being quoted a five-person minimum or turned away. Solo Care is the same list of work priced for the size you actually are.
What happens when we grow past four?
You move to a managed plan, which is the same list with support that is not timed and backup included. Nothing is rebuilt and nothing is migrated; it is a change of plan rather than a change of provider.
Is there a contract?
Month to month with thirty days notice, and no setup fee. Annual is available if you would rather, and it is not the default.
How much support is "about an hour a month"?
A guide to what this covers rather than a meter running against you. Small things are handled as they come up; when a month genuinely needs more hands-on work than that we say so, and it is $125 an hour agreed beforehand rather than billed afterwards.
Do you come to us?
On site across Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Somerset when something needs hands. Most of it is done remotely because that is faster, not because we would rather not turn up.
